What we repair most
Cracked or broken trailer hitches and coupler mounts; failed trailer frame welds and cross-members; broken ramp hinges and ramp frames on equipment trailers and car haulers; cracked truck frame rails and cab mounts; damaged toolboxes and storage compartments; and split or cracked flatbed decking supports. These are structural welds that cannot safely be left unrepaired — they carry the load and, ultimately, the driver.
How the repair is done in the field
We use Stick welding for most outdoor repair work because it is unaffected by wind and works on surfaces with surface rust, grease residue, or paint. For cleaner structural welds on newer equipment we use MIG. Every structural repair is made to meet or exceed the original weld specification, and we check the surrounding metal for stress cracks that are not obvious at a glance so the same spot does not fail again.
Our mobile units carry the consumables and equipment for steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. If your trailer has aluminum components — common on livestock trailers, enclosed cargo trailers, and refrigeration units — we can weld those on site as well.

Every quote is written after we measure, but the drivers are the same on every job: total length or size, material (steel is most economical, aluminum and stainless cost more), design complexity such as ornamental work or glass infill, finish (powder coating adds cost and years of life), and whether the work is done in our shop or on site.
